Taylor Wimpey are one of the Uk’s largest Housebuilders.

They are listed on the FTSE100 index and have over 24 regional businesses throughout the UK.

The Problem

Taylor Wimpey had a devolved operating model, they had recently appointed a Group HR director and had decided to create a Group HR function.

As this was a new business area, the brief for the search was broad, as the business had yet to fully understand what was needed for the function.

Because of this uncertainty, the permanent search was taking longer than anticipated.

The Solution

We worked with the HR leadership team to evaluate what was required immediately versus what was required longer term and came up with a workable plan to solve the issues on the search.

We placed an interim executive in to the function to setup a lot of the initial support structures that were needed, this gave them time to get the permanent hire right.
