What this website collects

The contact form on this site collects your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the message you write. Submissions are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, and delivered to info@refind.co.uk. We use them only to reply to you. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (names beginning _ga) to count visits and see which pages are read; IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use advertising features. Google processes this data under its own terms and may transfer it outside the UK. Your choice is stored in your browser, not on our servers, and you can change it at any time using the "Cookie choices" link in the footer. Rejecting analytics has no effect on how the site works.

Personal data we hold as a search and advisory business

If you are a candidate or a potential candidate, we may hold the information found on your CV and public professional profiles: name, contact details, career history, education, and notes from conversations with you. If you are a client contact, we hold your business contact details and records of our work together.

We use this data to identify and assess people for leadership roles, to advise clients on their leadership teams, and to keep in touch with you about relevant opportunities and our own insights.

Where the data comes from

• Directly from you, in conversation or by email.
• Publicly available professional sources, for example LinkedIn.
• Referrals from people who know you, such as former colleagues or employers.

Legal basis

For candidates and client contacts our basis is legitimate interest: the processing is what a senior professional would reasonably expect from an executive search firm, it has limited impact on privacy because the information is largely professional and public, and it is necessary to run a search or advisory assignment. Where we ask for sensitive information, for example in an assessment, we will explain why and ask for your consent.

Who we share it with

Client organisations recruiting for a role, where your profile fits and only after we have spoken to you. Assessment providers where you have agreed to an assessment. Our IT and hosting suppliers, who process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

For as long as needed to run an assignment and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Candidate records not active in an assignment are reviewed and, where no longer relevant, securely deleted. If you ask us to delete your record we will do so unless we have a legal reason to keep it.

Your rights

• To be told how we use your data (this notice).
• To access a copy of the data we hold about you.
• To have inaccurate data corrected.
• To have your data erased where there is no compelling reason for us to keep it.
• To restrict or object to processing, including for direct marketing.
• To data portability.
• To withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• To complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk.

Security

We protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access with access controls, two-factor authentication on our systems and encrypted storage. No system is completely secure and we cannot be responsible for unauthorised access beyond our reasonable control.
